Rachell is based in Amsterdam, where she has her studio, but her work carries her throughout The Netherlands. She is well known for her ability to unveil emotion and capture spontaneously intimate moments. Using the interaction of light and shadow, Rachell creates exquisitely styled photographs which carry a deceptive air of nonchalance. She is skilled and experienced shooting in areas of low, natural light as well as in venues flooded with light, such as on a beach, midday. Recently a client commented, “She takes pictures in such a way that when you look at them ten years from now, you’re just as happy as you were when you first saw them.”

For Rachell, it’s all about capturing those unique and special moments in each stage of a family’s life in a natural and genuine style that reflects their own personalities.
